CUSTOM CARTONING & CRATING
Custom Cartoning & Crating
Qualex will create custom cartons and crating for items of any size. The first step is to wrap and protect the entire item, with special reinforcement around all corners, facings, feet or bases. We then create a carton around the item and build a protective frame. Each frame is either 1" by 4" spaced slats or completely encased by plywood. All crates are constructed to ensure your valuable furnishings will arrive at their final destination in perfect condition. Let Qualex take all the worry out of shipping your valuables.
Art Work Crating
Valuable art works get the special attention and added packaging needed to help insure their safe arrival. Direct wrapping to prevent moisture and maintain integrity of the glass frame, plastic to seal the item, bubble wrap to protect against shock, all facings and angles are then completely covered with 1" foam.
A custom cardboard carton is made to provide additional protection and stability. The item is then re-measured and a frame is crated. Solid 3/8" plywood or 1" x 4" slats are then used to surround and protect the item.
If necessary, the crate is attached to a custom base in case a forklift or pallet jack are used when unloading to surround and protect the item. Wood grips are used on two sides and ends as handles for ease of carrying or lifting. Various labels are then attached to complete the process.
